This Gulfstream flew into the airport across from my workplace over the weekend. I originally noticed it because it was purty, but noticed it again today because it’s been here twice as long as small jetcraft usually are.
Did a quick Google of the registration number and it came up as belonging to a company called Commander Mexicana (no points for guessing where they’re based). The company has one named shareholder controlling 99.99% of the business, and two aircraft (this and a camera shy Sabreliner). What’s particularly curious is that, despite the plane having been sitting on the tarmac in Massachusetts, flightradar24.com shows it flying back and forth between Texas and Mexico every day (with the last flight listed as “destination unknown”).
Weird

Probably a miscommunication "We go to Texas" got misinterpreted as "We go to taxes" and they flew to MA.

I’ll be interested to see what others say. In my experience, FlightRadar and FlightAware have shown records that simply don’t jibe with what I’m seeing on the ground. I can’t explain it, because you’d think that the electronic record would be absolutely accurate. Here’s that Sabreliner:

As a proud Masshole I'd argue, but 12% of my federal tax refund just went to paying additional owed state taxes

Checked some more info on that plate, says it was registered to a Ablo Pescobar. Not sure if that means anything

I could understand the tracking sites not having records of business jet flights that are taking place, because it makes sense for some people to not want easily accessible logs of their location all over the internet (beloved celebrities on vacation and less loved executives looking to dodge people who lost money, for example). But for there to be logs for flights that AREN'T taking place confuses me.

I see they let the designers of the RX-8 do the windows.

A few thoughts: business aircraft are often ‘hidden’ from tracking, possibly that’s screwing up the system.
Also, as far as the ownership: many private owners and even businesses will setup “companies” that own the jet. Something about taxes, I’m not terribly familiar with the practice but I do know it’s common.

As I said to ttyymmnnnnnnnn, not having logs for flights that are happening makes sense to me. Having logs for flights that aren't, not so much.

This doesn’t really help much, but it might be work contacting FR24 to ask them about it.

Yeah, I don’t disagree with you on that one. Maybe they filed flight plans but didn’t fly them?

But why would they file flight plans between Dallas and Mexico when the plane is 2,000 miles away in Massachusetts? Also wouldn’t explain how the flight could have been diverted to another airport like the tracker shows for the 26th
